Come spend Easter in the garden!
The Bunny is back, and he’s bringing fun, family-bonding opportunities with him. The Dallas Arboretum will be hosting activities throughout the garden in celebration of Easter, and Dallas Blooms will still be on full display. So grab your picnic basket and your best bonnet and join us—Easter weekend at the Arboretum is always an event to be remembered, thanks to our sponsors, Dave Perry-Miller Real Estate.
Holiday Tunes
The Martin Rutchik Concert Stage and Lawn is the place to be Easter weekend, starting with the Eddie Coker Children’s Concert from 11AM to 2PM Friday, April 3, sponsored by Dallas Child. Visit us on Saturday and hear the delightful notes of jazz, blues, folk and swing onstage at 1PM, when Matt Tolentino’s Cement City Ramblers celebrate what’s “Deep in the Hearts of Texans” with tunes from traditional Texas swing bands of the 1930s and ’40s. If you miss either of these performances, don’t worry; there’ll be musical entertainment throughout the weekend.
For the Kids
Bring the entire gang to the Arboretum from 10AM to 2PM Friday and from noon to 4PM Saturday, when kids of all ages can enjoy face painting, crafting and a petting zoo. From noon to 4PM on Sunday, visit the Pecan Grove for complimentary pony rides.
The Rory Meyers Children’s Adventure Garden is the place for creative folks Easter weekend. On Saturday and Sunday, enjoy Storytime at 10AM in the Moody Oasis, where your kiddos will also have the chance to make their own bunny ears. At 1:30PM, stop by the Plant Lab to dye Easter eggs with naturally made dyes. If you can’t get enough egg decorating, head to the Kaleidoscope Gallery at 3:30PM and design your own paper Easter egg, then adorn it with fun shapes, patterns and colors.
A live bunny will be visiting the garden for special photos ops on the following dates for a small fee:
Friday, 10am to 2pm
Saturday and Sunday, 12pm to 4pm
Why not make a day of it?
You don’t want to miss any of our exciting Easter events, so stay the entire day! The Arboretum offers a delicious brunch and afternoon tea to sate your appetite, too. So don your Sunday best and have your camera ready for photo opps with the EasterBunny, who’ll be hopping around the garden.
