Fall-Blooming Beauties in the Garden Right Now
Autumn is in the air and it’s the perfect opportunity to frolic in 150,000 fall blooming flowers.
It finally feels like fall, and the gardens are bursting with breathtaking color. If you haven’t had the chance to visit the gardens for our Autumn at the Arboretum festival, presented by Rogers-O’Brien, here are some of the stunning botanical beauties blooming right now and just waiting for you to feast your eyes:
Black-Eyed Susan
These bloom from June to October, are good for cut flowers; and work well for borders or in containers.
Chrysanthemums
Blooming in the late summer and early fall, they symbolize optimism, joy and long life.
Croton
They are native to Indonesia, Malaysia, Australia, and the western Pacific Ocean islands and come in a wide variety of leaf shapes and colors.
Dahlias
When given as a gift, the dahlia flower expresses sentiments of dignity and elegance.
Mandevilla
With blooms in pink, red, white, and yellow varieties, the mandevilla loves warmer climates.
Marigolds
Also referred to as the “herb of the sun,” Marigolds represent passion and even creativity.
Vincas
These sun-loving annuals are ideal for flower borders or containers!
These are just a few of the hundreds of thousands of fall-blooming beauties you can see in the garden right now. If you’re interested in getting your garden ready for winter, you can head to the A Tasteful Place gardens or ask some of our senior horticulture staff. And if you have any questions about how to make a beautiful fall garden bloom perfectly in North Texas, don’t miss your chance to ask us questions on Instagram so our very own VP of Gardens, Dave Forehand, can answer them directly!
