Fourth of July Weekend in the Garden
There are thousands of bold, beautiful colors at the Dallas Arboretum 4th of July Weekend, but there’s one special weekend when it’s all about the red, white and blue. Come celebrate your Independence Day weekend at the Arboretum, where there will be star-spangled fun for patriots of all ages.
The celebration kicks off Thursday night at 7:30PM with our last Spring/Summer Cool Thursday Concert! Enjoy a colorful summer sunset, views of White Rock Lake and the lush rolling lawn while listening to the patriotic songs of the Dallas Winds. The evening promises to be a night to remember. Continue the celebration of our nation’s independence in true red, white and blue style at 9AM Friday, July 3, with a holiday-themed Craft Corner taking place in the Main Entry Plaza. If crafting isn’t your thing, then a Patriotic Scavenger Hunt could be a welcome adventure. Just make your way to the Rory Meyers Children’s Adventure Garden and get ready to explore.
The Arboretum is also offering 10:30AM and 11:30AM daily showings of the puppet show “Finding My Way Home” at the Glade Puppet Theater. Or your crew can indulge their inner foodies at Red, White and Fruit at the Incredible Edible Garden beginning at noon.
DIY is the order of the day at the Exploration Center Plant Lab, where you’ll learn how to make patriotic toothpaste. And make sure to head to the Exploration Center at 2PM to learn about our nation’s bird with Eddie the Eagle.
Continuing the celebration of our nation’s independence in true red, white and blue style, guests will receive a special reduced $5 general admission price and active and retired members of our esteemed armed services will receive free admission from Friday, July 3, through Monday, July 6.
