Spring Break Camps in the Garden
Does your child suffer from Nature Deficit Disorder? Do they miss the enjoyment of being outdoors and exploring the wonders of the natural world? Breathing fresh air? Watching the birds migrating at White Rock Lake? Getting their hands dirty? Learning a new skill? Don’t have your child spend the week of spring break in front of a TV or computer screen, indoors deprived of sunshine and fresh air, but rather treat them to a week of fun, engagement and the beauty of the Arboretum.
The kids may have just returned to school after a long holiday break, but it isn’t too early to start planning for an action-packed spring break! The Dallas Arboretum’s Spring Break Camps are organized by grade level and cater to a variety of interests. This year, all camps will feature STEM-based (science, technology, engineering and math) activities, as well as nature encounters, making for an unforgettable learning adventure. Campers will explore the gardens, discover natural wonders and bring home a nature-inspired project.
Week-long camps will be offered for kindergarten through fourth-grade students, and half-day sessions are designed to allow your middle-school student to create their own #hashtag-worthy camp experience. All classes are led by Arboretum educators and are held rain or shine. Register now for a camp that makes nature and learning fun for your young’uns!
