With the kids just easing into summer break, there’s no better time to make the most of all the season has to offer! There are plenty of can’t-miss activities in June and July at the Dallas Arboretum to get you started. Here’s a roundup:
WFAA Family First Day in the Children’s Adventure Garden
10AM–2PM Saturday, June 13
Invite the gang to enjoy a day of puppet shows, hands-on outdoor science experiments, collaborative tessellation assembly and scenes from “A Midsummer Night’s Dream.” This family-centered event is anchored by WFAA on-air talent, including Meteorologist Greg Fields at the OmniGlobe.
Father’s Day Weekend Concert
1 – 2:30PM Saturday, June 20
Enjoy an eclectic spectrum of music from Tony Bennett to Nat King Cole, and Antonio Carlos Jobim to Sinatra during our Father’s Day weekend concert featuring Multilingual Balladeer Frank Obregon. Father’s Day
9AM and 1PM Sunday, June 21
Bring Dad and Granddad to the Children’s Adventure Garden for a hands-on craft session with their little ones. They’ll construct and paint flowerpots and birdhouses to take home. Plus, enjoy classic superhero cartoons in the air-conditioned comfort of Rosine Hall, open for a come-and-go, blankets welcome viewing of these vintage shows.
The Golden Hour
6–9PM, Wednesday, June 10 and June 24
The Arboretum opens its doors at special pricing to allow the community to capture those “golden hour” photos in our showcase gardens. Tickets are $8 for Members and $10 for non-Members and can only be purchased at the gate.
