Tips for a Perfect 12 Days of Christmas at Night Visit
One evening spent walking the 12 Days of Christmas at Night at the Dallas Arboretum with family will create memories to last a lifetime. We want you to enjoy every moment you spend at this holiday festival, starting right now with some fun tips and ideas to plan the perfect night! Special thanks to 12 Days of Christmas and Holiday at the Arboretum presenting sponsor Reliant for helping us make all things merry and bright merrier and brighter this year!
Laughing All the Way – What about Walking O’er the Fields
Celebrate the holidays like never before with this centerpiece exhibit featuring an elaborate collection of 25-foot Victorian style gazebos filled with the charming costumed characters, whimsical animals and music made famous by the beloved Christmas carol. Each gazebo will be encased in glass and extravagantly decorated on all sides to provide a dramatic, three-dimensional experience, and will feature mechanical parts and festive music that will assist in bringing the characters to an even more life-like state.
Walking the 12 Gazebos leads you from A Partridge in a Pear Tree all the way along the .75-mile path to the Twelve Drummers Drumming, leading you through some of the most beautiful parts of the garden along the way.
So wear comfortable shoes and dress for the cold. The entire path is along smooth, paved ground, and if you cannot walk for whatever reason, we have free, push-wheelchairs available for guests to borrow on a first-come, first-served basis.

You can also see the 12 Days of Christmas itself during the daytime from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., although to get the full holiday splendor, with beautiful lights and delicious, holiday treats, it’s best viewed at night.
What about Delicious Drinks and Treats?
Ensuring our guests enjoy eating and drinking delicious, seasonal fare is a top priority at the Dallas Arboretum all year, but especially during the Holiday season. That’s why Café on the Green is serving seasonal treats including warm drinks for children and adults, and a selection of sweet and savory snacks that will fill you with holiday cheer. And you’ll enjoy a live serenade from an amazing local musician – we have performers at Café on the Green and along the Paseo de Flores.
We always invite ALL our guests to bring their own food and drink whenever they want, in case you think a picnic from home is the right experience for you.
You can see all the events going on every night here on the 12 Days of Christmas page, where you’ll also find the option to purchase tickets. Daytime events for the Holiday festival are here.
