Our Favorite Ways to Say Happy Mother’s Day
How do you properly thank mom, your biggest fan who is always present at every milestone event? With a trip to the Dallas Arboretum, of course!
Honor Mom and make Mother’s Day memories surrounded by the beauty of the gardens, plus find elegant gifts, delicious food and, of course, gorgeous blooms. Here are some of the activities you can enjoy with mom this May.
Savor an enticing menu, not to mention a spectacular view, Sunday, May 10, for those who have registered for the Arboretum’s sold out Mother’s Day Brunch or bring your meal outside into the garden with the perfect picnic.
If your mom is a music lover, then a ticket to the Cool Thursdays Concert Series would be the perfect gift! May acts include Escape, a Dallas-based Journey tribute band; Blaze of Glory, the Bon Jovi Experience; and Fast Lane, a tribute to the Eagles. Cool Thursday concerts are held at the Martin Rutchik Concert Stage and Lawn.
You could give mom the traditional bouquet of flowers, or you could give her a floral gift that will last all year long with a Blooming Bed of Bulbs. Theses beds honor mom for a full year, with 10 linear feet of spectacular flowers, marked with a special sign to recognize her. And it’s tax deductible!
Does your mom like to garden or would she like to learn how to paint? Give her the gift of knowledge (and fun!) with one of the Arboretum’s classes through our Adult Education Program. Or you can always pick up something unique at the Hoffman Family Gift Store. Start your shopping early this Saturday, May 2 and Sunday, May 3 and join us for a trunk show featuring designers Holly Yashi and Michael Michaud’s Silver Seasons Designs jewelry collection. Members receive a Members-only double discount of 20% on all jewelry in the gift store, and items from the trunk show.
Need more ideas? With a Dallas Arboretum Membership, Mom can treasure and experience her gift till next Mother’s Day! And she’ll get free parking, discounts to the Hoffman Family Gift Store and invitations to members-only events. Talk about VIP treatment!
