The Seated Tea Experience at The Dallas Arboretum
One of the most elegant activities at the Dallas Arboretum is seated tea at our historical DeGolyer home. It’s an experience best shared with a close friend or loved one. You relax and enjoy the gardens for a few hours, then make your way to the stunning DeGolyer Estate, to spend an afternoon over delicious teas and conversation in the DeGolyer Tea Room.
We host five different teas throughout the year, and each one boasts a different menu: Friendship Tea, Spring Tea, Garden Tea, Harvest Tea and Holiday Tea.
All seated teas consist of three courses; the first course, a seasonal soup, the second course, assorted tea sandwiches, and lastly, desserts! Each course is paired with a different delicious tea. We began offering seated teas in 2000, and though they have changes a bit over the years, one thing that never changes is the friendly staff and their commitment to your enjoyment.
What’s Included?
We have included admission to our beautiful gardens in the price of a seated tea. We wanted to be sure people have the opportunity to enjoy the full-package experience, including the different festivals and activities we have going on throughout the year.
A Harvest Tea Setting

“I came to the Arboretum with my grandmother and mother for the Holiday Tea. It was our first time coming to the Arboretum for a seated tea. We enjoyed every minute of the tea. The staff was extremely kind and made sure we had everything we needed. The food and the tea were delicious. We also enjoyed being able to walk around the gardens after our tea. The garden was decorated for Christmas, which is our favorite holiday, so it made our experience even more memorable. We are definitely going to come to more of the teas!”
